Rationale &
Explanation:
The remaining
dedicated funds will be used to purchase 42
more computers, bringing the number of computers
in each classroom up to technology plan specifications. There will
be four computers per classroom at this point, all wired and networked.
Additionally,
the school general fund will purchase the NIC cards required for the 42
new computers purchased in Year Two and Year Three- totaling $
1260.00 each year out of the general fund.
Competitve teacher grants will be awarded starting in Year Four.
These grants will enable the teacher to buy new hubs, new computers, Destination
Stations, digital cameras, etc. The grants will require that each teacher
present a technology plan to the technology committee, detailing how the
funds will be spent and the perceived educational value of the new items
requested in the grants.
