The use of technology, when coupled with innovative, creative teaching strategies in the classroom, can help develop responsible life-long learners who are able to achieve and excel in a global society. Fontainebleau High School shall strive to provide students, faculty and staff with the tools and training necessary to function and become competitive, competent citizens in a global community. This new global community is in constant flux, always changing and implementing new technological strategies and skills.
Appropriate use of technology will help students become proficient in reading, mathematics, critical thinking, language and communication skills and help improve academic achievement in all areas and with all students. The curriculum will place students at the center of learning and since every student learns differently, a curriculum rich with a variety of purposeful experiences and activities will address different learning styles and speeds, and yet still prepare the learner for state mandated testing. Dove-tailed into an interactive curriculum, technology is a perfect partner to provide students with age appropriate technology that will allow them to solve problems, analyze data, to collaborate and communicate with peers and others within a global community. Our students and teachers will value learning and will be confident in their ability to use the skills they acquire to be successful in an ever-changing world.
