TASK
Prepare to begin your journey into the sea. Your assignment is to explore
each layer and the sea creatures that dwell there. You will then choose
one sea creature from each layer, and prepare a Hypersudio presentation
on these creatures to present to the class. Each member of your group will
have a specific task to guide your learning adventure.
Navigator
Your task is to navigate through the web site as you visit each layer
of the ocean. Be sure that you visit each link to learn about the creatures
in each layer. You should keep a list of each website from which you take
information or pictures. By clicking here you
can access a list of links to websites with additional information and
pictures.
Reseacher
After your group has chosen their sea creatures, your task is to locate
and record information on these creatures. Print and use this form
to record your information.
Photographer
Your job is to locate pictures of your sea creatures to use in your
presentation. Copy and save these pictures into a file called "images".
Producer
When the research has been done, and the pictures have been collected,
your task is to produce your "movie". Start with a title slide, which will
include the names of your group members. Follow this with one slide for
each of the sea creatures you have researched. On your fifth slide you
should compare and contrast the three creatures you have featured. Explain
how they are different and how they are the same. Last, you should include
one more slide to list your credits - the websites you used to find your
information and pictures.
Editor
To complete your assignment, you will view the Hyperstudio presentation
and "fine-tune" it. Check spelling, grammar, and appearance of each slide.
Make any necessary changes. Go to the evaluation form
to check that you have met all of the requirements for this project.
