Ms. Cuti’s Rules
All
classrooms need to have a plan for discipline and control. I use a system in which you know daily how
your child behaved during the school day.
Each month a calendar will be placed in your child’s folder. I will mark the appropriate day with either a
sad face, straight face or happy face.
If your child receives a happy face you should praise him/her for the
great job that he/she did during the day.
If your child receives a straight face you should talk to your child
about the day. Remind your child that
appropriate behavior at school is the only way that he/she will succeed. If your child receives a sad face it will be
accompanied by a note from me. The note
will be to let you know what behavior I found unacceptable and how I handled
the situation. Also, I will request that
you discipline your child at home as you deem necessary. If a child continuously receives sad faces a
parent conference will be requested.
Should the behavior continue after the parent and teacher have spoken
the child will be referred to the office.
As in any situation there are exceptions. Such exceptions can be, but are not limited
to, fighting, stealing and destruction of property.
