Rhyming
Description:
In
this lesson students will revist the book from
the previous day. The students will read his/ her sentence
that was to be created for homework.
The students will practice rhyming skills using internet
based games. The students will complete a power point
based assessment.
Duration:
45 minutes
Lesson Goals:
1. The kindergarten students will be able to complete the
power point based assement with 80% mastery.
Procedures:
Introduction:
- The teacher will reread Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready
For Kindergarten. The teacher will revisit the words
which were highlighted the previous day. The teacher
will ask the students why these special words were
highlighted. The teacher will review what rhyming words
are.
Teach:
- The teacher will allow each student to read his/her
sentence and show the illustrations that were completed
for homework the night before.
- The teacher will discuss the rhyming words used in
each student's work.
Guided Practice:
The students will visit the following website and play
the game:

Independent Practice:
The students will view the power point presentation
and record their answers to the quiz questions. This will
be turned in for assessment.
