Once you have
collected all of the information from web resources work with your committee
members to come up with a list of advantages and disadvantages. Your
committee must decide what the best plan of action will be.
-
Create a
draft outline that represents your committee view.
3.
Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.
-
Write a
letter to the editor expressing your committee's view on the recycling
program.
-
Remember you
need to convince the community that your view point is the best. Be
sure to tell them why you think this is the best option based on the draft
outline and the advantages/disadvantages list you drafted.
-
Encourage
everyone in the community to attend the next city council meeting to support
your viewpoint.
4. Make
a webpage that you can present at the town council meeting that represents
your committees findings. Be creative!
Remember that
everyone on your committee must present to the council, but that the final
webpage should be a group effort. You may want to divide the webpage
into 3 segments and let each person present a segment.
