Louisiana is a beautiful state located in the southeastern part of the United States. It has a rich, diverse culture and history. The Governor is concerned about the Louisiana students' lack of knowledge regarding their home state. He is looking for someone to produce an educational slide presentation about Louisiana.
Congratulations! You have been hired by the Governor of Louisiana to produce a power point presentation using the important facts about Louisiana.
You and your partner will need to decide how you will design your presentation using the information below. Take notes on the information you will need as you visit the sites from the resources.
You must include the following information in your presentation:
- Design a title page to include the name of the state and a graphic
- Origin of the name, Louisiana; information on the purchase and when it attained statehood
- List of the state symbols, their meanings and graphics of the symbols
- Important products of Louisiana
- A map of Louisiana
- Credit for the team who created the slide show
After you have gathered all of your information, open a Microsoft Power Point Presentation program and make a slide show consisting of 6-10 slides on Louisiana.
Be prepared to present it to the class.
You will be evaluated on this 4-point rubric for each task.
