Welcome to Kindergarten! I am Miss Lauri Drouant, and this is my class webpage. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from the University of New Orleans in December of 1997 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I received a master's degree in Supervision and Administration of Educational Technology from Southeastern Louisiana University in May of 2007. I have been teaching kindergarten at Cypress Cove Elementary for the past ten years. I developed this website as a resource for students and parents. I will be updating the site often with new calendars and important information so I hope you find it helpful. I do check my email frequently, so feel free to contact me. We are busy each day playing, exploring and learning new things. If you have an emergency situation, please do not email me as I may not get to your message in time. Our last field trip will be April 17th. We will be going to Storyland in City Park. Everyone is enjoying show-and-tell. Don't forget to check the calendar in your child's folder for his/her leader day! Please remember to send a snack with your child each day. I do not keep extra snacks in the classroom.
